Fishing Terms and Conditions

These are the Terms and Conditions as set out by Double Threat Pty Ltd AFT TK & JA Price Family Trust trading as Double Threat Charters Yeppoon. These terms and conditions are in effect and considered accepted in full once your booking has been completed either via phone, booking system or in person. Any amendments to these terms & conditions will be publicly available on your website doublethreatchartersyeppoon.com.au.
General Rules:

Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the departure time of your trip (at the Rosslyn Bay Marina), if this is a mixed booking we will not wait for late customers as it’s not fair for others to be left waiting.

Please wear sun safe clothing and ensure footwear is enclosed and nonslip for safety reasons.

No smoking allowed in the enclosed cabin.

Number of Passengers:
-
Maximum number of passengers is 10.
-
Minimum number of passengers is 9. Double Threat Charters Yeppoon requires a minimum of 9 passengers to run a trip. If no other individual bookings are received within 14 days before the trip. The following options will be provided; a minimum charge of 9 people applies, or individuals can nominate an alternative date.
Bookings and Payments:

All bookings require a deposit of 25% before booking is confirmed.

The person making the booking is responsible for the total payment of the organised trip

Deposit of 25% is required to confirm booking and balance of payment to be made 14 days before the charter.

Payment request will be sent out 14 days prior. Any unpaid balance will be charged 7 days before the charter from the card that the deposit was made from. Any other payment methods must be discussed, prior to booking.

Any refund requests will be issued back via the original payment method. There are no exceptions to this rule.
Cancellations and Refunds:

If you have booked a full boat and there are cancellations within your party, we require a minimum of 14 day’s notice to fill the vacancy or your party will be liable for the full balance.

Double Threat Charters Yeppoon requires at least 28 day’s notice if you wish to cancel your booking. If 28 day’s notice is not given you will forfeit your deposit. Any cancellations made within 28 days before the charter will require full payment to be made.

You may nominate a full refund of deposit minus merchant fees or transfer your deposit to an alternative date if your trip has been canceled by Double Threat Charters Yeppoon.

If a person becomes unwell and requests to be returned to port, no refund will be given. It is at the Skipper’s discretion whether the vessel will return to port.

Double Threat Charters Yeppoon will not be held liable for any indirect costs incurred by a fishing charter being canceled.

In the event of a trip being canceled by Double Threat Charters Yeppoon, we will not be held liable for any travel costs, meals, accommodation or any other costs the customer may incur.
Gift Vouchers:

Gift vouchers must be produced 28 days before the charter.

If the customer holding the voucher misses the trip without providing 28 days’ notice or is late and the boat has left port, the voucher will be forfeited.

Gift vouchers are not refundable.

​Gift vouchers purchased for a specific trip type are transferred to a dollar value that can be redeemed on any trips run by Double Threat Charters Yeppoon.

Gift vouchers must be redeemed within 36 months of purchase (unless shorter time frame specified on the voucher).
Weather:

All charters are subject to suitable weather conditions (at the discretion of the skipper). We reserve the right to cancel any trip due to bad weather (even at short notice).

Offshore trips are contingent on weather conditions. A Reef & Shoal trip requires settled conditions that adhere to Maritime Safety requirements. If weather conditions prevail, it is at the Skipper’s discretion whether the trip will proceed. You may nominate a full refund minus merchant fees or transfer your charter to an alternative date if your trip has been canceled due to weather (this excluded gift vouchers, special offers or purchases made with discount codes).

In an instance where the weather has changed unexpectedly after leaving port, it is at the discretion of the Skipper if a part refund will be provided.
Safety:

A Safety Brief is given before departure from port.

All customers must declare any pre-existing medical conditions or any medication prior to booking and departure (as some people may require special attention).

Any food or dietary requirement needs to be advised at least 7 days before departure.

We have the right to ask any customer to wear a life jacket at any time.

All children under 16 need to be accompanied by an adult.
Equipment:

Any loss or damage to equipment must be reported to the Skipper. If damage is done to the equipment supplied due to user negligence the full cost to replace will be charged to the credit card that is held on file.
Customer Behaviour:

It is a requirement that all customers behave in a safe and respectful manner to all staff, other passengers and our property.

If there has been loss or damage to our equipment or vessel due to negligence or unruly behaviour, then the customer will be liable for replacement or repair cost of the item. An invoice will be provided with details of the damage and the cost bill will be charged to the credit card on file.

The Skipper reserves the right to cancel a trip and payment forfeited if unruly or unsafe behaviour is displayed.
Drugs and Alcohol:

Under no circumstances will illegal substances be allowed on the vessel.

Alcohol is not allowed on board the vessel during Spearfishing Charters. All course participants must have a zero blood alcohol level.
Global Positioning System:

All devices with GPS capabilities are banned from use on the vessel and may be confiscated and returned at the end of the trip once all GPS data has been deleted. If found to be in use the vessel will immediately be returned to Port.
Here at Double Threat Charters Yeppoon we want to provide a safe and happy fishing experience for our customers.
However due to the nature of charters please be mindful that there is the risk of injury or even death. Please understand and appreciate the dangers involved and once aboard the vessel the passenger must assume and accept all risks.
